Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of TessCast ("we"). By creating an account or using TessCast you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. The service
TessCast shows the Waze navigation app running on your Android phone on the screen of your car, through the car's web browser. It requires a compatible Android phone, the Waze app, an internet connection on both the phone and the car, and a car browser that can play the video stream.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 and give a valid email address. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. One account is for one person and their own car.
3. Safety comes first
- You are always responsible for driving safely and obeying traffic laws, including laws about using screens and devices while driving.
- Set your destination and settings before you drive or while safely stopped. Don't type, search or look at the screen for longer than a glance while the car is moving.
- Directions, alerts, speed limits and map information can be wrong, late or missing. Always follow road signs, traffic signals and the actual road conditions.
- The picture can freeze or disconnect, for example when mobile coverage drops. Don't rely on TessCast as your only means of navigation.
- Mount and charge your phone safely; don't handle it while driving.
4. Other companies' services
TessCast is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tesla, Inc., Waze or Google. Waze is provided by Waze under its own terms, which apply to your use of Waze. Their apps and cars change over time, and a change by them may limit or stop TessCast from working, temporarily or permanently. We'll tell you when we know of such a problem, but we can't guarantee that TessCast will keep working with them.
5. Subscriptions and payment
Paid plans are sold by our reseller and merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, which processes the payment, charges applicable taxes and issues the invoice; its terms apply to the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds and cancellation rights are provided as required by the consumer-protection law that applies to you. Any free trial is described at sign-up and ends automatically.
6. Fair use
Don't misuse the service: no attempts to access other people's accounts or sessions, to overload or disrupt the service, to resell it, or to use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep TessCast running smoothly but provide it "as is", without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the paid service, we'll refund the unused part of a prepaid period.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app or at tesscast.com/account. We may close an account that breaks these terms, after notice where reasonable.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss or damage caused by how a vehicle is driven, by navigation information, or by services of other companies. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for TessCast in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited by contract.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have jurisdiction, unless the consumer law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they apply. Continuing to use TessCast after that means you accept the new terms.
